Passion vs. Love

We started a new game tonight. Whenever we hear "Samoa", we have to kiss passionately.

After a while, we extended the game to "pain", where I agreed to give BR a peck.

"Why isn't 'pain' worth the same passion as 'Samoa'?"

"What? Are you trying to wear my lips out?"

The Birth of Bladderman

Contemplating a life full of catheters and urological problems, BR makes a dramatic decision...

He wants the ultimate urinary tract.
One impervious to all foreign contaminants.
One that knows when to hold 'em. Knows when to fold 'em.
Knows when to take a pee, and never runs.

A technician loads BR into the Urodynamo, and makes the necessary preparations.

With the push of a button, the transformation begins.

To be continued ...

Noted Bloggers Break Award Chain in Protest over Digital Divide

AUSTIN (BS) -- BR and Steve returned from an exhausting weekend in New Orleans to discover they had been given the Kreativ Blogger award by their dear online friend, Herrad.

"Is this some kind of joke?" Steve asked. "I mean Herrad is very well traveled and reads lots of blogs. The stuff we put out there can't possibly be all that kreativ in comparison."

"I didn't even know we were nominated," BR said while eating a cookie left over from the trip.

In their acceptance speech, Steve and BR dedicated the award to all the kreativ people living with MS who don't have the means to blog.

"There are millions of kreativ voices out there yearning to be heard. Yet they remain silent as the gap between the 'haves' and the 'have nots' grows. We cannot, in good conscience, pass this award on until our offline brothers and sisters are allowed to step up to the microphone!"

Today is Wednesday. You know what that means?

We're gonna have our pre-op tests!
So use the bathroom. Your underwear's clean.
Charge up the chair so the doctor can be seen.

Sung to the tune of "Guest Star Day" from the Mickey Mouse Club.

Good luck getting that out of your head.

Jealous Friend Seeks to One-Up Ill Man

SLIDELL, LA (BS) — Gina, long harboring jealousy over the attention Bobrobert has been getting since his MS diagnosis, has finally gotten a diagnosis of her own.

"When I noticed numbness on my left side, I didn't want to get too excited. Then it progressed into weakness, and I knew I really had something here."

A visit to the neurologist, and an MRI scan of her cervical spine confirmed her suspicions.

"There was this blob at the base of my brain," Gina said, barely able to contain her excitement. "When the doctor said it was a meningioma, I didn't know what that was, but I knew I had to tell Bobrobert right away."

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Meningioma is a tumor that arises from the meninges — the membranes that surround your brain and spinal cord. The majority of meningioma cases are noncancerous (benign), though rarely a meningioma can be cancerous (malignant). Even if a meningioma is benign, it isn't harmless. A meningioma can press on the brain and spinal cord, causing complications such as vision loss or paralysis."

Bobrobert, reached for comment at his Austin home, isn't impressed. "It's probably completely operable and benign. I told her to call me when she's in a wheelchair."

Bobrobert's partner, Steve, was unavailable for comment. People close to the couple report that they are actually heartbroken by the news, and are coping by making inappropriate and tasteless jokes.

"I knew it!", Gina exclaimed when told.
